All goods supplied by Norfolk Antique & Reclamation Centre (also referred to as NARC) are sold subject to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Age, Condition and Sizes

All the products we stock are antique or reclaimed and as such they will have wear and tear. We try and be as accurate as possible when describing items in our listings or in any correspondence. All ages are to the best of our knowledge and are approximate, as are any sizes given.

It is the responsibility of the customer to satisfy themselves of the products condition, age, size, and usability before purchase. Subject to the appropriate statutory limitations, no condition is made or to be implied, nor is any guarantee given or to be implied, as to the quality, life, wear, or suitability of any such goods supplied.

Wherever possible NARC will provide information regarding the history of reclaimed items but can give no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information and no reliance should be placed on this information.

2. Prices and Terms of Payment

Any prices quoted may vary without prior notice. All prices quoted are Pounds Sterling GBP. Items can be bought directly through our website (www.norfolkreclamation.co.uk) by adding them to your basket and following the instructions.

We also accept:

  • Bank transfers (payment details will be on quotes or invoice)
  • Card payments (all major card types, in person or over the phone)
  • Contactless payments (in store)

All items must be paid for in full before collection or delivery and will remain the property of Norfolk Antique and Reclamation Centre until payment has been cleared in full.

3. VAT

We are a VAT-registered businesses (Value Added Tax), therefore this sales tax added to most products and services sold by us.

VAT will be applied, at the current rate, on the date invoices are raised.

We do not use any VAT schemes, therefore, should you be a VAT registered customer, the VAT element of our goods and services will be reclaimable.

Should you be a customer outside of Great Britain(England, Wales and Scotland and our products and associated services are going to be exported, it maybe possible that the sale can be zero-rated. Please get in touch prior to placing orders to discuss your potential requirments.

4. Reserving Goods

We do not offer a reservation service. To secure an item payment must be made in full. Items are not removed from sale until payment is processed. If you are not ready to take delivery of your item at time of purchase, we offer a storage service. Please see section 6. Storage for further details.

5. Custom made or Altered Goods

Where goods are made, altered, or repaired for a customer, full payment for the goods will normally be requested before any work is undertaken.

6. Storage

If you would like to purchase an item immediately with the view to having it collected or delivered later, we offer free storage on all purchase our premises for 3 months as standard. If you require items to be stored for a longer period, this must be agreed in writing at time of purchase. While we will make every endeavour to keep these items securely, the risk is with the purchaser, NARC will not be responsible for any damage that occurs during this period. After the 3 months or agreed free storage time, has elapsed Norfolk Antique & Reclamation retain the right to charge storage fees of £50 per pallet space per calendar month which must be paid before collection or delivery. We will not notify the customer when this period has elapsed. If the items are left at our premises for12months without prior agreement in writing, we reserve the right to resell the items and there will be no refund to the customer.

7. Discounts

All discounts must be agreed in writing prior to delivery.  Discounts will be invalid in the event of late payment.

8. Use of Goods

The customer must satisfy themselves that any goods ordered by them are suitable for the purpose for which they will be used. No employees of Norfolk Antique and Reclamation are authorized to advise or recommend the suitability or otherwise of any product or products and will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss directly or indirectly arising as a result of any incorrect or inadequate advice or recommendation. We recommend consulting with an appropriately qualified professional before beginning a project using reclaimed materials. All goods are ‘sold as seen’.

9. Gas and Electrical Items

All goods sold containing gas or electrical components, or for use with such systems, are sold as decorative items only unless stated otherwise. The wiring will not be checked or warrantied by us. Any electrical lights or other devices must be thoroughly checked, rewired, and fitted by a fully qualified electrician.

10. Delivery, Timings and Consequential Loss

All timings, schedules and delivery dates quoted or estimated are approximate.

While we will do our utmost to adhere to any time stated for delivery, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever caused by any delay in delivery, completion or performance of any contract, and any time stated for delivery shall not be a term of contract or a representation. In the event of ourselves being unable to supply or deliver the goods ordered, we undertake to refund any money paid in respect of such goods but shall not otherwise be under any liability whatsoever. We shall not in any event be liable for consequential damage or loss.

Delivery shall be to the nearest kerbside unless otherwise agreed with the customer. Delivery does not include unpacking, moving the goods once offloaded, product placement or any other manhandling of the goods, unless previously agreed in writing. For larger items that cannot be offloaded with the delivery lorry's offloading facility, it is the buyer's responsibility and cost to provide adequate unloading facilities. Labour and/or plant required for unloading shall be supplied by the purchaser. Provision of adequate Health & Safety measures shall be the sole responsibility of the customer or their appointed agent(s). No responsibility is accepted for any consequential loss or subsequent losses howsoever arising from the use of any materials or goods supplied.

11. Goods in Transit, Receipt and Inspection

Goods dispatched by NARC using a carrier, courier, post office or any other means must be inspected for damage on delivery and any damage or shortage should be marked as damaged on the Carriers delivery note and NARC must be notified immediately by phone, confirmed by letter or email. NARC will not be responsible for damage reported after that period.

Certain items such as glass or very breakable items cannot be insured for carriage and subsequently carriage is at the buyer’s risk, and we cannot be held responsible for any breakages. Having said that, we will of course do our utmost to ensure that items are packed carefully and securely to avoid any possible damage in transit.

12. Returns

All the items we sell are reclaimed or antique products and as such are individual one-off pieces. It is the responsibility of the customer to satisfy themselves of the condition of items and that they are fit for purpose before purchase.

We invite customers to view product in person and will answer any questions as thoroughly as possible and therefore we do not offer refunds on this basis.

If a customer wishes to return an item, it must be in the same condition as sold and within 7 days of purchase. A credit note may then be issued at the discretion of Norfolk Antique & Reclamation.

The cost of returning goods will be at the customer’s expense.

13. Law of Contract

Any contract entered shall be governed by English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
