William IV Gothic Revival Mahogany Glazed Bookcase.

This elegant bookcase in the Gothic Revival style dates from around 1840 and is crafted from rich mahogany. It features glazed double doors with reeded arched gothic tracery. Ornate gilt brass stringing highlights the outline of the piece and continues around the simple cornice, adding a touch of luxury.

Internally, there are four sturdy shelves. Three of which can be positioned at a number of different heights to accommodate books and objects in a range of sizes. The bookcase is raised on four reeded bun shaped feet offering stability and a decorative touch. The book case is lockable and key is present, making it ideal for housing a cherished book collection or displaying decorative objects. This antique bookcase would be a beautiful addition to any traditional or eclectic home.

The antique item is in good condition given its age. Some minor knocks and scuffs are present, so please use the listing images as a visual reference of the condition.
