Early 18th-century wrought iron blacksmith's anvil, also known as a Colonial or Pre-London Pattern anvil.

Hand forged with an extended footed base, squat body, short heel and conical horn. The face has a single large Hardy hole with no separate Pritchel hole.

A rare early example with clear signs of age and use, in particular to the heel. Please check the listing images carefully for condition.
