This huge reclaimed stone pier cap is a substantial piece of architectural salvage. Pier caps are traditionally used to top the square pillars or piers found in many architectural styles. This particular example is rectangular with a distinctive notch carved into one side, suggesting it was once part of a more elaborate architectural feature. The stone displays a beautiful weathered patina, and is in excellent reclaimed condition, as can be seen in the listing images.
