A batch of 16 reclaimed pine staircase spindles or balusters. All pieces display a naturally weathered surface with remnants of old white paint, giving them an authentic aged appearance. They retain plenty of period character and would be well suited to restoration projects or a variety of decorative uses

Each baluster features square top and bottom blocks which allowed them to be fixed into the stair tread and handrail. They are mostly all cut at an angle, indicating that they originally formed part of an inclined staircase. The central sections are traditionally turned with rounded collars and gently tapered shafts, creating a classic design found in many Victorian and early twentieth-century properties. Included with the batch are two shorter matching examples, most likely made to accommodate changes in the staircase layout or salvaged from a corresponding landing section.

Displaying honest wear and traces of their original finish, these reclaimed balusters are ideal for period restoration, bespoke joinery projects or creative reuse. They would also make distinctive table legs, console supports or decorative interior features. Please view the images to check the condition before purchase.
