Antique Wrought Iron Estate Gate with Cross Bracing, Reclaimed Garden Gate

An antique wrought iron estate five bar gate with a dark, weathered finish and aged patina throughout. Constructed with a simple rectangular design formed from six horizontal rails and four vertical supports. The gate features distinctive crossed diagonal bracing forming a traditional “kissing” pattern. The flat iron braces run from the upper outer corners, crossing through the lower centre before fixing near the base of the inner uprights. This strengthening design helped prevent the gate from sagging over time. Original hinge brackets remain fixed to the left-hand side, with a small iron latch loop to the opposite edge for securing the gate when closed.

A classic piece of English architectural salvage, well suited for use as a garden gate, paddock entrance or period landscape feature.
