A pair of substantial pier blocks with gate or hinge anchors, likely crafted from York stone, each featuring an iron hinge element securely inserted. These blocks would originally have formed part of a larger gate pier or pillar, positioned on either side of a set of double gates. Reclaimed item that displays natural weathering and surface patina consistent with age and long-term exposure.
