Antique Brass Twelve Light Candle Chandelier

A large two tier brass candle chandelier with twelve lights. The form follows traditional Flemish and Baroque chandeliers that were originally designed to hold wax candles. Six arms form the lower tier and six sit above. Each arm sweeps out from the central column in a gentle scroll with small leaf flourishes that give the chandelier its flowing outline. The central shaft is richly detailed with a textured pineapple form at its centre. Below, the column finishes with a turned tiered finial. The brass has developed a deep aged patina that gives the piece its strong historic character. Wide hexagonal drip pans sit beneath each light. Cream candle sleeves and flame tip bulbs recreate the appearance of a traditional candle fitting and produce a warm, even light.

This is a reclaimed antique light fitting. It has been professionally rewired and tested to ensure it is in working order at the point of sale. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or other suitably qualified professional. We accept no liability for damage, injury, or loss resulting from incorrect installation or use. This fitting requires 12 x E14 bulbs. Bulbs not supplied. As a reclaimed item, minor age related marks and wear should be expected.
