This is an antique brass Empire style candlestick has been converted into an electric table lamp. The design stays true to the original form while allowing practical use.

The base is square with stepped sides. The sloped surfaces carry a raised urn motif, and the edges are framed with a stylised leaf pattern. The stem features a ram’s head relief, a common Empire and Neoclassical motif symbolising strength and antiquity. Below it, a ribbon bow drops into a floral pendant, adding subtle decoration to the otherwise structured form. Above the head, the stem transitions into a square pedestal section with vertical fluting and a central floral rosette, echoing classical Greek column design. A white cylindrical sleeve sits atop the stem to replicate a wax candle. The lamp is fitted with a period-appropriate twisted fabric flex in tan, running from the side of the base.

This is a reclaimed antique light fitting. It has been professionally rewired and tested to ensure it is in working order at the point of sale. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or other suitably qualified professional. We accept no liability for damage, injury, or loss resulting from incorrect installation or use. This fitting requires 1 x B22 mini globe bulb. Bulb not supplied. As a reclaimed item, minor age-related marks and wear should be expected and form part of its character.
