This Brass Neoclassical wall sconce follows a ceremonial torch design. The form is upright and structured. It references Empire and Louis XVI taste.

The main body resembles a tapered torch handle or bound rods. A gilt ribbon and bow appear to tie the torch to the backplate. That detail softens the form and creates contrast against the rigid shaft. Small acanthus leaves sit at the base of the torch head and around the mounting point. These details draw directly from Greek and Roman sources. The flame takes shape through a moulded frosted glass shade. The textured glass diffuses the bulb and spreads light evenly.

This is a reclaimed antique light fitting. It has been professionally rewired and tested to ensure it is in working order at the point of sale. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or other suitably qualified professional. We accept no liability for damage, injury, or loss resulting from incorrect installation or use. This fitting requires 1 x B22 mini globe bulb. Bulb not supplied. As a reclaimed item, minor age-related marks and wear should be expected and form part of its character.
