This pair of decorative running outlets would have been used to connect the guttering (likely 125mm / 5” Ogee) to the downpipes. Incorporating a 230mm / 9“ offset swan neck these joints would typically be attached to the fascia and the offset would clear the soffit allowing a clean joint into the downpipe. This pair feature an unusual dragon head design, they are made from cast iron which is finished in red oxide primer.
