Ekki or Red Ironwood Cladding 13mm Thick, Cut from Riverbank Pilings

These reclaimed cladding boards have been cut from salvaged riverbank pilings made from Ekki, also known as red ironwood. This exceptionally durable hardwood has been widely used for marine and waterside structures due to its strength and resistance to decay.

Each board retains one original weathered face with the natural patina developed during years of service. Some boards, or sections of boards, display unique surface patination created by years of wave erosion while in use as riverbank defences. The reverse has been planed, and the thickness has been regularised to approximately 13mm.

This batch provides approximately 12 square metres of coverage. The boards are supplied in mixed lengths with a consistent width of 7.5 inches.

As a genuine reclaimed product, the boards show signs of their previous use, including bolt holes, small notches, splits and age-related wear. These features form part of their character. Please check the images carefully to assess the condition before purchasing.
