An original late Georgian or early Victorian cast iron fireplace surround featuring simple classical revival detailing.

Made from heavy cast iron, the surround has fixing lugs along the outer edges for securing to masonry. It retains a distressed off-white paint finish with age-related patina, minor surface rust and areas of layered paint wear. The design features a moulded mantel shelf above a recessed central panel, with deep step-moulded jambs and squared plinth blocks.

Suitable for period restoration projects or as a decorative fireplace surround in a living room, dining room or bedroom.
